| Director, Underwriting NEW
POSTING |
Direct-hire position. Oversees and ensures
integrity of financial underwriting activities and processes. Achieves profit,
growth, service and expense objectives on the assigned book of business. Directs
and oversees all account pricing, underwriting, rate setting, accounting,
financial analysis, and customer financial agreements for multiple books of
business. Leads a team of underwriters, provides coaching and mentoring to the
underwriting team. Develops the organization’s ability to assess risk and
improve processes; enhances functional and technical knowledge of the members.
Represents the underwriting function in client meetings and client/broker
interactions as appropriate. Observes and analyzes financial results and
initiates required action with appropriate parties. Partners with team and/or
clients to address profit and sales plans to achieve organizational objectives
using considerable judgment in the application of underwriting principles.
Salary up to $129K. |
| Manager, Actuarial NEW POSTING |
Direct-hire position. The manager will be
expected to ensure that all tasks and projects are completed timely and
accurately, using substantial judgment in deciding on actuarial assumptions and
methodologies to be used for all key responsibilities. With knowledge of the
business, the health care environment, competitors and government rules and
regulations; the Manager is responsible for making recommendations for Actuarial
Department and goals and objectives and methods of achieving these objectives.
Key responsibilities: pricing and premium rate development (25%) corporate
claims and trend analysis (30%) Financial Accruals development including IBNP
(15%) Vendor and medical programs evaluation and analysis (20%) corporate
forecasting and product performance reporting (10%). Salary up to $110K. |
